General
What is a Recognition Photo Display digital photo display?
A Recognition Photo Display is a web based digital photo display that continuously plays on a TV in your facility, usually in the lobby or waiting room. Typically, it displays a photo of each individual in your department, as well as other shots of your choosing. It presents all your photos in the form of a digital slideshow. It operates through WiFi, so it requires no special wiring.
What is the purpose of a Recognition Photo Display digital photo board?
Your digital photo board will serve many purposes. First, one of our Recognition Photo Displays will let your team know you appreciate their contributions. It will also allow you to introduce and acknowledge those people in a way that’s both genuine and motivating.
This will breed familiarity within the community and help fulfill the second purpose of your display-- maintaining good public relations. Your department doesn’t just work for the community. They’re an integral part of it. A Recognition Photo Display mounted in your lobby will demonstrate this relationship perfectly.
Lastly, our photo displays will help build unity within your organization. Taken together, these three functions will work together to build a feedback loop that’s both enriching and self-sustaining. The end result of all this is increased morale, engagement, and productivity.
Why is a Recognition Photo Display a better choice than a traditional photo display?
With one of our Recognition Photo Displays, you can update it on an as needed basis -- when personnel or anything else you display changes. This is both less expensive and more efficient than using a traditional employee photo board, which requires a new board when anything changes.
A Recognition Photo Display makes these changes simple. They can be made within a day or two without requiring a new display. Our monthly subscription cost is significantly lower than what you’ll pay for a traditional photo display every year. It also ensures that your display is always up to date and reflects your organization accurately.
Setup/Technical
Will a Recognition Photo Display work on any TV?
Any TV with an HDMI plug will work, but some may require extra equipment.
What type of TV works best with your digital photo board?
The easiest device to use is a Smart TV that has internet browsing capabilities. Please be aware that although most "Smart" TVs can access the web, they are unable to open a web browser to view a website.
If you want to use this setup for your display, make sure that your TV will allow you to open a browser like Google Chrome directly on your TV to view a website. A TV with this capability would only require internet access to use for your Recognition Photo Display.
Can I use a TV without internet browsing capabilities with a Recognition Photo Display?
As long as your TV is equipped with an HDMI plug, it can be used for your display. However, any TV that can’t browse the internet on its own will require additional equipment -- typically an Intel Compute stick and a wireless keyboard and mouse. This setup will allow you to browse the internet and open websites using WiFi access. So if you have an unused TV that’s equipped with an HDMI plug, you can easily use it for your display at a minimal cost.
What web browser should I use to run the Recognition Photo Display?
Any web browser will work, but we recommend Google Chrome because it offers the easiest full screen display. This will let your display to run on the TV without any obtrusive toolbars visible on the screen.
